Ajial Curriculum

Ajial Bilingual School has chosen to follow the Common Core Curriculum Standards from KG through Middle and High School. We are accredited by both WASC and AdvancED and are in the process of applying for additional quality assurance accreditation

In the kindergarten department the focus is on the developmental needs of the whole child. We provide experiences that are both challenging and promote social, emotional, physical and academic growth. We offer pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2.

Ajial children are given the opportunity to develop a positive self-awareness and a strong sense of belonging. This enables our students not only to reach their full potential but to succeed. Our KG students are encouraged to take risks and to share their ideas. They are given the opportunity to use problem-solving strategies through working in small group cooperative activities; and on individual projects.

The Elementary Department (grades1-5) have a curriculum which is also based on United States Common Core Standards. The mission of the Elementary Department is to develop fundamental academic skills in the use of English Language, to embrace social responsibility and good citizenship. In addition to their academic studies students are offered a specialised course in character education.

Middle and High school (grades 6-9 and 9-12), have adopted the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) which is the basis for our academic programs. The CCSS represents the highest standard of US educational practice and by aligning our programs of study to these standards we ensure our students are prepared for and obtain the required GPA’s to study both in the USA and worldwide.
